Wonderful Scroll Steel Panels in Finished Work

Set of 3 decorative steel scroll panels.

If you seen my post before about my steel scroll panels, I illustrated how many possibilities there are to layering metallic paints over a solid base coat.  Here the metal frame panels are integrated with  a wood background support.  The wood blocks were finished in light blue acrylic paint and then sponged with a blue green color wash glaze.  This was accented with a dry brush coating of fine silver paint. I am quite dazzled with how these came out.

In this angle shot you can see the dry brush strokes a little better.  Straight on in direct light they almost hide the deep cool turquoise. These where fun to make and great for your spring decor.  Just visit the listing in my Etsy shop for purchasing and other information.

Wonderful Metal Scroll Panel

This is a project that I am wrapping up. It consist of 2 forged steel S scrolls welded to a pipe cap inside a rectangle fabricated of 1/2 square bar. Notice the rich metallic plum over a magenta base coat.  This is part of a larger 3 module wall art that will be in bright spring like colors.  More on this later.
